Staff and children alike at The Gables are making the most of the fabulous weather we’ve been having lately. The older children have been on a walk to their Forest School site.
They sang their Forest School song and held onto their magic rope to keep them all safe and together before heading into the woodland.
With the children’s help staff conducted a risk assessment of the site, and made sure they took their health & safety bag of tricks which included a hand washing station.
Using their telescopes, hands and ears to see what they could see and hear in the woods the children did well identifying some of the flowers and animals.
They enjoyed exploring their tent building and having song time around their little ‘pretend’ fire.
