The children at The Gables nursery were keen to support their local football team Rochdale Football Club when they played at Wembley last week.
They talked about their town, and the children shared their own experiences, including whereabouts they live in Rochdale.
They took part in a number of activities including: football skills, making Rochdale flags, baking Rochdale biscuits, and practicing their fine motor skills through ‘threading footballs’, (this also linked in with discussions about the sewing factories that were famous in Rochdale.)
