Children at our Redvales Nursery have been learning about their bodies and discussing bones, organs, veins and blood. They made lungs using balloons with straws inside a bottle and saw them getting larger and then smaller as they breathed in and out. This topic helped them understand the effects that exercise and food have on their bodies and the importance of keeping healthy. They also discovered that, if you were to open out one of your lungs, it would be the size of a tennis court!
