The older children have been to visit Half Acre residential home this week for a Funky Hat parade. They took their own creations and some materials to help the ladies and gentlemen make their own ‘Funky Hats’. They buddied up with the residents making their hats and loved chatting about what they had made and how messy they had got at nursery. They all enjoyed parading their final hats.
It was such a lovely creative day, they even had a surprise visit from a local band the home staff had organised. The children spoke about their visit all the way back to nursery and were full of enthusiasm to go again. This is so good for the children’s development to communicate with the older generation, which will give them confidence for future visits.
